The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
The Observationalist is a political and news commentary blog web site for the average person to help sort through the confusing and often misleading political news engine we encounter today, along with everyday news that affects us all. We will try and breakdown the meaning and impact politics play in our lives both today and in the future in terms we all can understand from an objective unbiased point of view. The purpose is to inform the public and provide a place for meaningful commentary to help navigate the political arena and have our voices heard. And who knows, maybe reach the ears of the politician and affect positive change. To that end we take the quote from Edmund Burke as motivation to empower our readers to never give up and yes, your voice does matter!
Welcome to The Observationalist, enjoy!
As we grow the site the plan is to add news content that is relevant to our everyday lives, offer commentary on the observations of everyday life, and provide resource information to broaden our horizons and make us all better informed. As fast as news is made we should be able to keep content fresh and relevant. We understand not everyone will share our views, but the idea is to get people talking and a little controversy is a great way to get differing ideas and opinions together to make us better informed and understand each other which in turn makes for a better society.
At the Observationalist we don’t pretend to have the answers or the best opinion, rather we would like to act as a moderator to get constructive positive conversations going to better understand the world we live in and the politics that govern our society. We plan to offer commentary from contributing bloggers and allow discussions through comments on all the content we post.
It is an exciting time here with lots to do, so please be patient as we ramp up and develop the blog site. Suggestions are always welcome for content, areas of interest, or anything relevant to our goal. We plan to keep an open mind and we ask you to do the same. An open mind is the first step to better our lives and the world around us.
